The City of St. Albert fosters a safe and healthy business practice and requires businesses to hold a valid Business Licence when conducting business within the boundaries of the City of St. Albert.
All businesses operating in the City of St. Albert are required to obtain a City of St. Albert Business Licence. A business is defined under Business Licence Bylaw 43/2000 as any business, occupation, activity, amusement, entertainment, trade employment, profession or calling and the provision of a service of any kind that is conducted for the purpose of earning income, whether or not it is conducted for the purpose of earning a profit. Business Licences are valid from the date they are issued until December 31st of each year, and must be renewed for the following year if the Business will continue operating in St. Albert.
