Website Accessibility

The City of St. Albert strives to provide universal access to its websites and web-based applications.

Universal access refers to creating websites that respond to the needs of the widest population range as possible, enabling persons with varying abilities, ages, and technical resources to access essential information and services on an equal basis with others. That's why we're committed to following the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA standard with this website, and others under our care.

The standards and technologies which drive the modern web move quickly, and to follow best practices related to accessibility, performance and mobile-device support, we've adapted techniques which older browsers may not support. Due to this, we strongly recommend the use of either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for the best possible experience. Both browsers are available, at no cost, for iOS and Android devices, and many generations of Microsoft Windows and Mac OS.
